• Files and media you upload to the Platform
• AI-generated content (scripts, images, video, audio, music)

• Prompts and creative direction provided to AI tools

Usage Data

• Page views and feature usage (collected via Plausible Analytics — privacy-first, no cookies)
• Session duration and navigation patterns (aggregate only)

Technical Data

• Browser type and version
• Device type and screen resolution
• We do not log IP addresses

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and improve the Platform — your content and usage data help us deliver features and improve the member experience.
• Account verification — we send verification emails to confirm your identity and secure your account.
• Platform notifications — we send notifications about activity relevant to your account (new followers, festival updates, etc.).
• Content moderation — we review content to enforce community guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Analytics — aggregate, anonymized data helps us understand how the Platform is used. We never sell analytics data.

3. AI Processing

BITFLIX uses artificial intelligence to power its creative tools. We believe in full transparency about how AI processes your data:

• Prompts and content are sent to AI providers (including Claude by Anthropic, fal.ai, and ElevenLabs) to generate scripts, images, video, voice, and music.
• AI providers may process your data according to their own privacy policies. We select providers that align with our privacy values.
• We do not use member content to train AI models. Your creative work is yours — it is not used as training data by BITFLIX or shared with AI providers for training purposes.
• AI processing is necessary to deliver the Platform's core functionality. If you do not wish your prompts to be processed by AI, you should not use the AI creation tools.

4. Data Storage

• Server location: Member content and data are stored on servers hosted by Hetzner in Germany, subject to EU data protection standards.
• Password security: All passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We never store or have access to plaintext passwords.
• Authentication: We use JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) for session management — not tracking cookies.
• Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

5. Data Sharing

We are committed to protecting your data. Here is exactly what we share and with whom:

• We do NOT sell member data. Not now, not ever.
• AI providers receive your prompts and relevant context solely for the purpose of generating content. This is necessary to provide the service.
• Analytics (Plausible) are aggregate only — no personal data is tracked or shared. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies or track individual members.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our members and the Platform.

6. Member Rights

As a BITFLIX member, you have the right to:

• Access your data — view your account information, content, and activity via your profile page.
• Delete your account — request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@bitflix.io.
• Export your content — download your uploaded and AI-generated content.
• Opt out — unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time. Essential account notifications (security alerts, verification) cannot be opted out of.

7. India-Specific Provisions

For members accessing the Platform from India, the following provisions apply in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and associated rules:

• Compliance: BITFLIX operates in accordance with the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
• Grievance Officer: A designated Grievance Officer is available to address any concerns regarding data handling. Contact the Grievance Officer at support@bitflix.io. Grievances will be acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 30 days.
• Data location: Member data is stored on servers in Germany (Hetzner). We disclose this transparently — your data is stored outside India and is subject to EU data protection standards, which provide strong privacy safeguards.
• Consent: By registering and using the Platform, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your data as described in this policy, including cross-border transfer of data.

8. Children

BITFLIX is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a member is under 13, we will take steps to delete their account and associated data. If you believe a child under 13 has registered on the Platform, please contact us at support@bitflix.io.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, members will be notified via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. We encourage members to review this policy periodically.
